Detroit, MI – February 8, 2014 – Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) has made a major contribution to Detroit’s Eastern Market making it the market’s first seasonal sponsor. According to Dan Carmody, president of Eastern Market Corporation (EMC), this new strategic partnership with Strategic Staffing Solutions includes a three-year commitment to sponsor Eastern Market’s Winter Season and support to expand educational aspects of the Friends of Eastern Market program.
“Strategic Staffing Solutions’ support will allow us to increase awareness of Eastern Market during the winter season and allow us to continue to build new programs as new market facilities, such as the Detroit Community Kitchen, come on line,” shared Carmody.
S3’s gift also supports the Friends of Eastern Market. That program enables the Market to continue work around improving access to healthy, green, affordable, and fair food choices in Detroit and throughout Southeast Michigan while also fortifying the food sector as a pillar of regional economic growth.
Colorful S3 winter season street pole banners and signage have been installed to better welcome Eastern Market visitors from now until the end of March.

Eastern Market is still seeking sponsors for the remaining seasons.

The year ahead will be filled with additional firsts for the Market. Renovations to Shed 5 will be completed and a new Sunday Market will be launched by early summer. The Dequindre Cut and Midtown Loop greenways will open in the fall.
