Strategic Staffing Solutions Executive VP April Donaldson Receives Two Major Recognitions as a Business Leader

DETROIT – April Donaldson, executive vice president for Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3), a Detroit-based global IT and business services company, has been recognized by Michigan’s two foremost business magazines for her achievements nationally. In the last month, Dbusiness magazine named Donaldson a “30 in Their Thirties” and in Crain’s Detroit Business, she was a “40 under Forty.”

“April’s achievements in the last couple of years have been unprecedented in our industry,” said Cynthia J. Pasky, S3 president and CEO. “Not only has her role at S3 grown to overseeing more than $100 million in revenue and 1,000 team members, she is helping develop a standard for our industry nationally. That is true leadership and certainly deserving of these acknowledgements.”

April Donaldson S3In both publications, Donaldson was noted for being selected by Staffing Industry Analysts, a global staffing trade organization, as one of the five national industry experts to help develop the Certified Contingent Workforce Professional program. In addition to assisting with the program development, Donaldson helped bring the certification training to Michigan, giving contingent workforce professionals across the state the opportunity to become certified and more competitive in the workplace.

Donaldson was also recognized for her work to develop and manage S3’s Military Veterans program, which has placed more than 100 veterans in jobs since it launched a year ago.

“S3’s success is contingent on the success of our customers and communities that we serve,” said Donaldson. ”I see the development and implementation of these programs as a way to establish best practices customers, consultants and communities, so we are all provided with more opportunities to grow.   It is really an honor that the work that I advocate for nationally is being recognized in my home town.”

April joined S3 in 1992 and in 10 years grew from a marketing role to her current position. In addition to serving as the point person for S3’s Fortune 100 customers, more than 100 suppliers and thousands of S3 team members nationally, she serves on the SIA advisory board and is a member of Automation Alley in Metro Detroit.
